Town Roadway Vegetation Project Update 05/04/21

Update Per Town Interactive Map 5/04/2021, 12:00 pm:
We understand treatment is in progress on: Manchester & side streets
We understand treatment will start within 2 weeks on: Whitehorse and side streets /  Icknield / Allenby / Berkshire and side streets / Donnington and side streets

ALL vegetation within 10 feet of the edge paved roadway regardless of species, except for ground cover under 18 inches, will be cut down.

However, on a case-by-case basis, the Town will allow owners time to relocate trees/brush by no later than Town will May 15, 2021. Owners wanting to relocate vegetation must contact Thom Ravey soon, otherwise they may be cut down.

We understand treatment planned to begin Tuesday 4/27/2021: on Rolands and side streets.  Many other streets will be started on in next two weeks, see link above for interactive map.

ALL vegetation within 10 feet of the edge paved roadway regardless of species, except for ground cover under 18 inches, will be cut down.

Treatment Planned to Begin Within Next 2 Weeks: Rolands, Evensham, Worchester, Wycliffe, Berkeley, Dorchester, Briar Cir, various Cambridge roads

Town of Truckee & Truckee Fire Protection District
2021 Roadway Vegetation Management Project

The Town is scheduled to begin this project in Glenshire on Monday, April 19, 2021. The purpose of this project is to improve wildfire resiliency, road safety, and to increase snow storage in the public right of way.

ALL vegetation on ALL roadways within 10 feet of the paved roadway regardless of species will be cut, except for ground cover under 18 inches.

However, on a case-by-case basis, the Town will allow owners time to relocate trees/brush by no later than May 15, 2021. Owners wanting to request time to relocate trees/brush in the 10ft of the paved roadway must contact Thom Ravey by  (530) 582-5379.

Amenities Opening Update

Playground & Tennis Courts open, 8am to 7pm (later when possible).  Planned pool opening is last day of school June 17th, and some weekend days earlier if staffing is available. Swim lessons are still TBD. Thank You!

Playground and Tennis Courts

Playground & Tennis Courts are planned to be open by April 7th: The weather is warm and people are ready to get outside and play! We are working on a way to safely open the Playground and Tennis Courts soon!  We plan to open on April 7th, 9am to 5pm. Thanks for your patience!
