Adrian Juncosa, GDRA Board Member & President
I’ve been on the GDRA Board for about 5 years, hopefully benefiting the Association and membership. As a member of both our Board and the Measure T citizens oversight committee (as of January 1, 2025), and with the tireless support of our excellent, experienced staff, we’ve done a lot to increase fire safety for Glenshire and our Firewise partners. Updated defensible space and fire safety rules will soon be circulated for member review. We’ve repaired some unsafe parts of the clubhouse area, upgraded facilities including the lake trail, and added new ones (solar panels, access upgrades) that are not only responsible improvements but will save the Association and members money on their dues, long term. But I have some important things I’d still like to achieve, most importantly updating the rest of our cumbersome and outdated Rules to expand the list of DRC exemptions, simplify and clarify many confusing Rules and application procedures, but also strengthen Rules and DRC procedures that have been the cause of a lot of complaints. Compared with other HOAs in the state and even right in our area, we’re a relatively permissive community and I’d like to keep it that way. Finally, although larger facilities projects like the trail maintenance and some water quality protections are staff or contractor-scale projects, smaller ones aren’t, and I’ve heard some interest expressed by residents in organizing a small volunteer group to do some aesthetic and environmental upgrades in certain open space locations. Drawing on years of erosion control and restoration experience, I’d be really interested in helping with that.
Seth Warren, GDRA Board Member & Vice President
Seth Warren was raised in Antioch, California and moved to Truckee with his family in 2020. Seth’s wife of 10 years, Lindsay, is a fantastic mommy to their children Boden and Adelaide. After working as a civil engineer in the private sector as well as for Placer County’s Tahoe Engineering Division, Seth recently joined Siegfried Engineering where he is the lead principal for their Truckee office. His key engineering interests, and ways he hopes he can help serve the Glenshire community, include bicycle facilities, pedestrian paths of travel, and public placemaking. Seth’s hobbies include chasing his kids around the Glenshire Pond after work, climbing, biking, and tennis.
William “Bill” Davidson, GDRA Board Member & Secretary
I have lived in Glenshire for over 30 years. Love the relaxed, family lifestyle, and that on holiday weekends we are not impacted by the tourists. I am an avid skier in the winter and hiker in the summers. And love going camping in my camper van… especially to the canyons of SE Utah to hunt for ruins in the remote, seldom visited canyons. Back in the 90’s I was on the Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue ‘A’ team, going out at night to find lost skiers. Retired Contractor that holds various inactive licenses. College graduate, and former successful business owner for 20 years. Experience with contract administration and staff management. When issues arise, I try to consider all points of view. Hoping that I can give back to the Glenshire Devonshire community by serving on The Board of Directors.
Joe “Mack” McDaniel, GDRA Board Member & Treasurer
Since moving to Glenshire in 1992, I’ve felt a strong connection to this community—coaching kids soccer, cleaning up on Truckee Day, and skiing in The Great Ski Race. I graduated from Cal State Northridge with an accounting degree, which has helped me build three businesses, two of them here in Glenshire, including the Glenshire General Store. Growing these businesses locally has given me an understanding of the financial and practical needs of our little Shire. I would like to listen, learn, and help the Board make practical, financially responsible decisions. I would also like to encourage participation by property owners and support ways to bring neighbors together. My children grew up here, and I want this neighborhood to flourish for my granddaughter and future generations. As my kids take on larger roles at the store, I’ve begun stepping back from day-to-day operations. That has given me more time to contribute, and I’d be glad to give my time and experience back to Glenshire.
Peter Sorensen, GDRA Board Member at Large
I have a technical and professional background in physics,experience with energy efficiency and managing projects for the Department of Energy. I am an avid outdoorsman,
and am committed to improving the quality of life in our community: for my kids, my wife and all of our neighbors. As a new board member I would strive for a soft entrance, ramping up on current priorities of the Association. Longer term, I have several ideas for improving our little neighborhood, from erosion control and trail maintenance in the open spaces, to burying power lines around Glenshire (admittedly a tall drink of water), and many other things in between.
