All amenities are for Glenshire/Devonshire Members and their Guests only.
Clubhouse
The beautifully landscaped Clubhouse with a newly remodeled kitchen is perfect for small and large gatherings. The Clubhouse grounds have two tennis courts, a basketball court, a lake trail, a swimming pool, a wading pool, a playground, and a lawn area, all overlooking a lake.
Gazebo
The BBQ gazebo built in 2000 is located next to what will soon be the Glenshire Lake trail head behind the tennis courts and next to the volleyball court. It accommodates parties of up to 50 people and has provided picnic tables. It is accessible most of the year (weather permitting).
Pool
The pool is open during the summer every year. The season dates fluctuate slightly depending on staff availability and weather so keep an eye out for updates on the pool operations.
During the open season, the pool offers lap swim in the mornings, swim lessons (when instructors are available), open swim in the afternoons and early evenings for kids and families. The facility includes a small wading pool and shade structures as well.
There are showers and bathrooms available at the pool facility, a snack shack, lounge chairs and tables, and a reservable pool party pavilion for small events.
Playground
Daily Hours: 8am – 7pm (later when possible)
The playground area includes a gated perimeter, woodchip playground with 3 slides, junior and toddler swings, monkey bars, and a climbing structure.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball
Daily Hours: 8am – 7pm (later when possible)
All the tennis & basketball courts are located on the east side of the clubhouse. There are two tennis courts, one with a half-court basketball. There is a sign-up sheet posted outside the court doors. Please reserve a time slot if you want a guaranteed time to use the courts. The sports courts are becoming increasingly popular and we want all the Members to have the time to enjoy using them.
Lake Trail
This Lake is vital to the wildlife. No swimming, boating, fishing, skating or other entry is allowed at the Lake. No dogs on island please, where birds nest. No chasing or feeding wildlife.
Dogs must be kept under control, and pet waste must be picked up.
The Lake Trail following a path completely around the Glenshire Lake is becoming a reality. Starting at a trail head behind the clubhouse, it will stretch over 4,000 feet 6 feet wide. It will meander over a proposed bridge across the spillway, the existing dam and then back to the clubhouse across the wetlands on a wooden boardwalk. The trail will have several rest areas with trees, boulders, shrubs and rocks. 1,800 feet of decomposed granite was installed in the fall of 2002 to kick off the project. The trail head was started in October 2003. Six hundred feet of boardwalk was installed in the fall of 2005. Another section of 350 to 400 feet of decomposed granite was installed in the spring of 2006. Another section of 150 feet of recycled boardwalk was installed in 2018.
A fund raising campaign is in effect through the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation. Check with the Association office for special sponsorship opportunities.
