Call for Director Nominations 2024
Board job description Revised 03.30.2021
Adrian Juncosa, GDRA Board Member & President
I have strong knowledge and decades of experience in legal and regulatory matters, and very strong knowledge of several technical subject areas that are crucial to our community (fire science and aquatic ecology). I’ve put a lot of time and energy into improving community fire resistance, the lake, and other common areas, and into helping to operate the Association in a businesslike manner. I am an Ecological and regulatory consultant and have operated my own business for 25 years, initially as a sole proprietor, then as President of the corporation. Prior to that, I was a senior scientist at two major consulting firms in Sacramento. I have served on the GDRA Board and Firewise Committee for the last 3+ years.
Kenneth A. Hoedeman, GDRA Board Member & Vise President
I was born in Michigan and graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Michigan. I also have a graduate engineering and business degrees from Carnegie-Mellon University and St. Mary’s College of California. I have over fifty years of work experience as a construction engineer, structural designer, and project manager. I am retired from engineering and construction consulting work and volunteers to support various community organizations.
Anna Grahn Nilsson, GDRA Board Member & Secretary
A little about myself! As a Glenshire resident -Donnington Ln. to be specific – since April 1999 I have personally not only seen but also experienced all changes, challenges and improvements our wonderful area has gone through; concurrently raising my daughter right here in Glenshire, hanging at the pool, walking our dogs on the trails, etc. etc. I work as a local Realtor (since 2000) – and hold and have held several positions on the Board of Realtors. Currently as the Treasurer. This year I was asked to take on the role of “President” for the Truckee Optimist Club – a position that indirectly perhaps creates a strong community involvement; adding more “town-insight” for our Glenshire board as well as a good place for sharing of local information.”
James Bartlett, GDRA Board Member & Treasurer As a passionate member of our community, I am eager to contribute my skills, experience, and dedication to the betterment of our neighborhood. My motivation to join the Board stems from a genuine desire to delve deeper into understanding our community’s dynamics and the intricacies of HOA management. I am committed to learning and contributing positively to ensure our community thrives harmoniously through cooperation and collaboration. My background in community engagement and service through my work at Sierra Senior Services as the Director of Operations, being an Ambassador for Truckee’s Chamber of Commerce, and my membership in the Truckee Host Lions Club has equipped me with valuable experience in understanding diverse needs and fostering inclusive environments. These roles have honed my ability to listen actively, collaborate effectively, and find innovative solutions to challenges—a skill set I am eager to apply to the responsibilities of the Glenshire/Devonshire Board. My primary goal is to bridge the gap between the vision for our community and the needs of its residents. I am dedicated to identifying areas of improvement, enhancing communication channels, and ensuring transparent decision-making processes. I am committed to advocating for initiatives that promote community welfare while upholding the values and interests of our residents. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute my time and effort to our community’s growth and well-being. I believe my varied experiences and commitment to fostering positive change make me a strong candidate for the Board.
Lisa Williams, GDRA Board Member
I am happy to serve on the board. I have lived in Glenshire for two years think it’s a great place to call home and raise our family. I previously served 4 years as the lead member of the architectural review committee in our previous community. In that role, I approved plans for landscaping/hardscaping, solar panels, pools and repaints. I worked with Sherwin Williams to update and add new paint color schemes. I also obtained bids for common area upgrades. I regularly worked with the board concerning design issues and saw my role as essential to maintaining the beauty and high property values of our neighborhood. I believe HOAs are a good thing for communities when the rules are clear and equally enforced.
