Funding for this Project provided by the Truckee Fire Protection District as part of the Truckee Fire Measure T Community Wildfire Prevention Fund.
Truckee Fire Protection District is planning to implement a critical fuel reduction and forest health project to protect the community of Glenshire and improve evacuation routes in the event of a wildfire.
Work will begin in August 2025. For public safety, pedestrian access to this area will be restricted during active operations: Monday-Friday from 7am-5pm.
Please plan accordingly. If you hear or see equipment working, please do not enter the area. Please do not remove or disturb any flagging in this area since it is important for resource protection measures and to ensure the contractor stays within the permitted work area. An in-person community information meeting will be held at the Glenshire Clubhouse at 5pm on August 21st to share details on the project and address any questions.
